Fernando DaRosa
Fernando was born and raised in Brazil, but moved to the US late in 1977, and soon after started playing the guitar. During the late 80's, he moved to Los Angeles and played in several bands in the Hollywood circuit. After moving to San Diego, he concentrated on Brazilian Jazz and Bossa Nova, and performing in several San Diego establishments as an acoustic duo. This project is another way to showcase his passion for the different types of music.
Ted Kassiotis
Born in Boston MA, Ted moved to San Diego in 1995. His earliest and strongest influence was his father Rick Sr. who played guitar and sang in Pop and Swing Jazz bands for years. It came naturally for Ted after picking up his father's 69 Gretsch sunburst and quickly he began learning songs. Ted's early influences resulted in a diverse taste in music, from Pop to Rock to Jazz Standards to Metal and Progressive Rock, he loves and plays it all.

We play a variety of songs that range from classic Bossa Nova to Flamenco and Adult Contemporary, in a pleasant and chill style. A perfect blend of music for any establishment.
I worked with the Sophisticados at the Crosby for a wedding. They were AWESOME!! Their appearance and style was very professional, and their communication prior the wedding was prompt and easy. I would recommend them to any planner or client.
I hired the Sophisticados to play at our Wedding and they were fantastic. They played before and during the ceremony and at the cocktail hour after. They created a great vibe for drinks after the wedding. My wife and I got so many compliments on the music. They were definitely a hit!
